Commissioned Art from Artist Amy Methven;

A commissioned piece of Art is a one of a kind piece that the client asks me to draw.  When you buy a commission, you will receive;

1x digital JPEG copy.

(Please note all digital JPEG copies have a watermark on them to prevent plagiarism and reproductions)

1x Printed Copy (Optional)

(Please note; Mounting and Framing options are also available)

Every Commission completed will be posted on my online portfolio.  If the client wishes for their commission to remain private please let me know.

If the client posts their commission on line in social media please remember to credit me in your post so that if anyone who sees it and likes it can check out my work.

Terms and Conditions  (Important.  Please read!)

What I will and will not draw;

I will draw anything that the client asks me to as long as it doesn’t breach any of the following;

I provide a service that guarantees the client exactly what they ask for.  I also run an SFW (Safe For Work) policy.  Anything I am asked to draw must be PG13 suitable.

I will not draw anything that might suggest or imply;
Drug or substance abuse including alcohol, sex and nudity or extreme violence.

If I am asked to draw a subject that goes against my moralistic views or may represent controversial political content of any kind, I respectfully decline to draw it.

First come first serve policy;

Please note I run a first come first serve policy.

A Priority charge of £10.00 is required if the client needs it by a certain date.  Please note this charge is not deducted from the total cost as it is as additional service.

If you require your commission by a certain date, please allow at least two weeks for me to complete it.  Allow more time if a print is required.

The first come first serve policy in this context means that who ever paid their deposit first is my priority.  However if there is a hiatus in communication with the client, I will work on other commissions with a later deposit date.   As such, some commissions may be completed before others due to the varying workload of each piece.

When will you get the commission?

This all depends on which option you chose and how much of a work load I have.  I cannot give a client an exact date at this time.  (unless you pay the priority charge of £10 as stipulated in the First Come First Serve Policy.)  Apologies for any inconvenience

How to get a Commission:

Step 1: Contact the Artist

Express your interest in a commission by contacting the artist prior to paying anything, explaining your idea for your commission.  Once decided on which option you desire and what add ons you wish to add, the artist will send you a quote of the total cost to confirm the customer is happy with what they have asked for.
The client must contact the artist before paying the deposit to avoid any confusion and misunderstandings.

Step2: Pay an upfront deposit.

Any and all commissioned work, both digital and traditional requires an upfront deposit of £10.00  This reassures the client that the artist is fully committed to the commission.  Please note the deposit is deducted from the total amount due upon completion.Any Add ons the client wishes must be asked for before the deposit is paid.  Any add ons are included in the total Quote and is the final agreed cost.  After the deposit is made, add ons can not be purchased.  If the client changes their mind and no longer wants the commission but has already paid the £10 deposit, the deposit is non refundable.

Step 3: Correspond with the Artist

The bonus of buying a commission is that the client has the opportunity to discuss their idea with the artist on a one to one basis might that be through email, or instant messaging.  This is to ensure the artist and the client is on the same page during the creation of the piece.

Step 4:  The artist sends the client preliminary sketches based on the description of what the client has asked for.

I like to include the client on the whole process and development of what they’ve asked me to do so the client can follow the progress and give feed back on the piece.

Step 5:  Upon completion, the client pays the remaining total cost.

The digital JPEG of the final piece is sent to the client for confirmation.  Once the client has confirmed they are satisfied with the commissioned piece, the client pays the remaining cost to the Artist.
